ManageCasa Expands eVoting Support as New State Laws Enable Secure Online HOA Elections
ManageCasa shared expanded guidance and support for its electronic voting (eVoting) system during the CAI Community Association Law Seminar 2026, as homeowner associations across the United States move to comply with new laws permitting online voting for association elections.
In California, Assembly Bill 2159, which took effect January 1, 2025, now allows HOAs to conduct certain elections using electronic secret ballots for the first time. Similar legislation is being adopted in other states as associations seek to modernize governance, reduce costs, and increase resident participation.

With eVoting, community associations and property managers can conduct elections, surveys, and other important votes
While many associations are only now exploring electronic voting, ManageCasa has provided fully integrated eVoting since 2024 through its association management platform, giving real-world associations plenty of time to use the feature and make a meaningful difference for their communities.
Electronic Voting Designed for Community Associations
Association elections are governed by strict rules related to privacy, identity verification, record retention, and ballot integrity. Paper ballots are costly and slow, while standalone voting apps often create compliance and data management risks.ManageCasa eVoting allows boards and managers to conduct board elections, bylaw amendments, contract approvals, member resolutions, quorum tracking, and polls using a single platform. Votes are anonymous, verified, and protected against duplication and proxy abuse. Administrators can track participation in real time while preserving voter confidentiality.

At the CAI Community Association Law Seminar, attendees had the change to demo ManageCasa's new explanded eVoting system.
A Platform Based Approach to Voting
Unlike consumer voting apps, ManageCasa eVoting is embedded within its community management system. This allows associations to issue ballots, send reminders, manage voter lists, and generate audit ready reports without moving data between separate tools. Electronic and paper ballots can be used together so associations can support all residents while maintaining compliance with governing documents and state law.
Built for Compliance and Participation
Modern election laws require voter authentication, ballot separation, secure storage, and the ability for members to choose paper or electronic voting. ManageCasa provides these capabilities in one system designed specifically for community associations. Associations using eVoting typically achieve higher participation, reach quorum faster, and improve the accuracy and transparency of decisions.
Limited-Time Demo Offer
To celebrate the launch of expanded eVoting, ManageCasa is offering a $50 Amazon gift card for completing a 30-minute personalized demo. To be eligible, participants (generally managers, associations, or board members) must manage over 200 units. Book a demo here.
